Climate Change Act 2008 is linked to Kyoto protocol, it creates a duty for the Secretary of state to make sure that UK carbon emissions and greenhouse gases are at least 80% lower than the records of 1990. It helps us to recognize the dangerous climate change at an early stage and it gives us a realistic long term goal. The Act enhances the government power to ensure that the aim is met, an independent Committee on Climate Change introduced under this act guide the UK government. The secretary of state regarding this issue is referred to as the Secretary of state for Energy and Climate Change. Shortly after the Energy Act of 2011 has been introduced, this act work under the Climate Change Act of 2008 as it produces annual reports on energy statements. It helps to monitor the progress towards 2050. Key aims of the act are to improve efficiency of the energy and

enable low carbon technologies. Both acts cover wide range of industries responsible for the carbon emissions. The new technologies provide the government with the necessary data to ensure the businesses are aware of the climate change and gives them powers to fine those who don't obey.
