Presence and influence of design code documents is increasing with each year, conclusions are made from successes and mistakes. Overall purpose of the documents is to make the developers think about the performance of the development and the user group, covering variety of different aspects of what a successful development should be during different stages of the design including both short term and long term. The documents provide useful information and provide a list of areas which planners should pay attention to in order to develop an overall successful development which ticks off all those areas. Subjects within the documents include the big picture of the development in years to come after construction, the circulation around the place by the means of public transport
pathways, are the ergonomics considered? Other areas focus on spaces and places which involve a lot of zoning and sociological aspects of the space, how exactly the users see and use the space around them, is the development separating and isolating different user groups or is it engaging. Although the documents list areas which the developers should focus on they shouldn't be limited to them, research in variety of topics will also be done to enhance the design coding even further.
