In todays lecture we have been introduced to plan of work, organized sturcture which architects follow when designing a building. The plan of work and discussion gave us an idea of the stages involeved within the plan of work. currently our design project is based around the stages, our lecturers are not only trying to give us the theoretical side of the plan but also a practical expierience of things. RIBA plan of work is very interesting as it gives an outline of stages core objectives and other detailed processes behind the work of architects. There are 8 stages within this program; Strategic design, Preperation and Brief, Concept Design, Developed Design, Technical Design, Construction, Handover and Close Out and finall In Use. Not only did we find out about RIBA plan of work but also about BRE (Building Research Establishment) and CIAT program which is pretty similar to RIBA's.
